While many timeshare resorts have on-site golf courses, only one has hosted four nationally-televised professional LPGA golf tournaments and allows owners to golf for free: Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation. The resort’s Clyde Johnston designed course has received a Four Star rating from Golf Digest, and been named one of the “Top 100 Fairways” by Golf for Women magazine.
For anyone who loves golf, it’s hard not to see the value in owning a timeshare at Ellington! Owners receive 10 free rounds of golf during their week, excluding the cost of cart rental. Simply dial the pro shop from the phone in your luxury one, two, or three-bedroom condo, and reserve a tee time. The resort’s location in Murrells Inlet, a former fishing village located just 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach along South Carolina’s ‘Grand Strand,’ makes it perfect for families that want to hit the beach between rounds.
Festiva Resorts, the developer of Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation, has moved from selling deeded weeks to a points-based Club Membership concept. This club concept has worked well with Bluegreen and WorldMark, so it’s likely the Festiva Adventure Club will prove popular; however golf benefits are for deeded week owners only. The good news for buyers is that there are deeded timeshare resales available, that still include free golf each year. Interested parties should act now, as supplies are limited.
If you’d like to visit Ellington to golf, but aren’t ready to buy timeshare just yet, renting a week from a deeded owner will give you the best of both worlds: Simply request use of golf privileges when reserving your week.
