Thinking Mardi Gras? Think Wyndham Avenue Plaza Timeshare
January 26th, 2010
The 2010 Mardi Gras season is officially underway, with festivities continuing until the finale at midnight on February 16th (Mardi Gras day.) This year marks the 173rd year of parading around New Orleans, and is expected to have the highest number of visitors since Katrina. Affordable accommodations are surely hard to come-by, with hotel room nights running upwards of $400 plus tax. However, regular Mardi Gras attendees have discovered the best way to experience the festivities is owning a timeshare, like the luxurious Wyndham Avenue Plaza!
Formerly Avenue Plaza Resort & Spa, this property is located on St.Charles Avenue, in the Garden District of New Orleans – close enough to walk to Bourbon Street, but just far enough from the famous festival to enjoy a sound night’s sleep. The resort’s recently-renovated studio, one, and two-bedroom units are tastefully decorated, and feature mini-kitchens with dishwasher and microwave. On-site amenities include a courtyard pool and rooftop sundeck.

Now that Avenue Plaza is part of Wyndham Vacation Resorts, owners can exchange to top-notch Wyndham timeshares across the globe, in addition to properties listed with RCI or Interval International.
For those interested specifically in staying during Mardi Gras, buying timeshare that’s deeded a fixed week between 5 & 9 will guarantee a room during the Festival…. but act quick, as these weeks are always in short supply! Visit Wyndham Avenue Plaza Week 6 Resale to buy a Mardi Gras timeshare week now!!

That’s the thing about timeshares; you have to “share-time” Who wants to do that? I don’t but it’s not a perfect world and we can’t afford our own get-away home. so we have to stick with timeshares.

The key to timeshares is that they allow you to vacation in the place you select with usually 5 STAR elegance. Let’s be honest who doesn’t like 5 STAR
environments.

With what we spent to stay in New Orleans last week, I think we could have bought a timeshare! But it was worth it… Go Saints!
